"Places App" May Place the User in Danger
Savannah James (23 years, Briantree, MA native) was brutally murdered last weekend during a Sugar Ray concert in the Agganis Arena in Boston, MA. Deputy Van Hailynn of the Boston Sheriff's Department claims the man currently held into custody (George Stevens Jr.) knew where his ex-girl friend Savannah was due to the Places function available on Facebook. Savannah is survived by her father, Malcolm James and cat, Mittens.
"This is a tragedy, plain and simple. We're not placing blame on the young lady for having a social life or broadcasting where she'd be, but it's a lesson for all to be more socially responsible with what they post on the internet."
