Staci Keanan Dead at age 35
Actress Staci Keenan who was suffering from depression died
after taking a cocktail of prescription drugs, an inquest heard. She will be most known for her work on the sitcom's My Two Dad's and Step By Step.

" She was a lovely young lady on the set and would soak up the knowledge me and Suzanne Sommers would give her like a sponge. She would always brighten our days with her youthful enthusiasm. Without a doubt she will be greatly missed." -Patrick Duffy

Cynthia Dringus’s Court heard that Staci Keenan, aged 35, of Harpford Close, Breightmet, died after taking drugs including sleeping tablets, anti-depressants and anti-hystamines.

But Assistant Deputy Coroner Peter Watson said there was insufficient evidence to prove that Miss Keenan committed suicide and recorded an open verdict.

The inquest heard that Miss Keenan had previously twice taken overdoses, but told doctors that these were a cry for help. She was found unconscious in her bed by her partner, Philip Brongle, on March 2 and taken for treatment at the Royal Bolton Hospital, before being transferred to a hospital in Wigan where she died on March 5. The cause of death was brain death due to lack of oxygen, caused by the overdose. Mr Brongle said: “She was still a young woman with her whole career ahead of her.”
